BREWSTER — The parishioners of Our Lady of the Cape Parish, 468 Stony Brook Road in Brewster, invite everyone to attend a series of four presentations on people whose lives “profess, celebrate and share the faith.”
During this Year of Faith, these lectures will present people from the Scriptures and from Church history as examples of individuals who have traveled and journeyed the difficult walk of faith. They will include people like Abraham, Jonah, Mary of Magdala, Peter, Thomas, Paul and contemporary examples of faith-filled persons.

Drowning in her grief, she left her job as a district sales manager when it became too difficult to work.

BOSTON — Last fall, Massachusetts voters rejected physician assisted suicide at the ballot box. Last year, Vermont, too, defeated an effort to legalize death by prescription — only to see another measure signed by the governor this May. Some opponents of such laws in the Commonwealth wonder if the news up north foretells their fate.
Anne Fox, president of Massachusetts Citizens for Life said in a May 18 email to supporters about the Vermont law, “The death lobby hopes this will open the floodgates, at least in the northeast.”
